An independent report by Dr H.J Roberts led him to coin the term ‘Aspartame Disease,’ and was the subject of his book published in 2001. Dr Roberts attributed the consumption of Aspartame with some of the following life limiting conditions; Diabetes, Low blood sugar, Convulsions (seizures), Headache, Depression and other mental disorders, Hyperthyroidism, High blood pressure, Arthritis, Multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s Disease Lupus, Brain tumours, Carpal tunnel.

In the studies reviewed, even when exposure levels were several orders of magnitude greater than the recommended ADI, sucralose did not demonstrate carcinogenic activity.
